Free Workshop: Grief After Suicide

November 14 from 7PM to 9:30PM at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

• Suicide of a loved one can have a profound and devastating impact on those left behind.
• Survivors struggle with the social stigma of suicide and may be at risk for elevated rates of complicated grief.
• Surviving the suicide of a loved one is a life-changing ordeal requiring great resilience and all the support that family and communities can provide.
• Topics include the impact of a suicide on individuals and the family, the myths of grief recovery, things that survivors can do to help themselves and when to seek professional help.
• The workshop is geared towards people who are grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide, but will also be of great value to those who wish to support a grieving survivor.
